Our Clinic Facilitators
Rose Healing Center is unique because it is the only center whose facilitators hold active Colorado licenses in various health-related fields such as medicine, psychology, nursing, and social work. This allows licensed clinicians to offer services that extend beyond the psilocybin experience — supporting participants with physical or mental health care within the scope of their professional practice.
While facilitators can use a therapy room at our center, most preparation and integration sessions will be conducted at each facilitator’s private practice and the journeys are held at Rose Healing Center. While our facilitators bring diverse backgrounds and therapeutic styles, they are united by a shared commitment to safety, integrity, and reverence for this work. Collaboration is central to our approach, and our facilitators regularly consult with one another to ensure participants receive the most thoughtful, comprehensive care possible. We invite you to explore our facilitator bios to find a practitioner whose approach and values resonate with your needs.
This multidisciplinary approach ensures that our patients receive comprehensive care that addresses both their mental and physical health needs. By integrating various fields of expertise, we can offer a more holistic and effective treatment experience, tailored to each individual’s unique circumstances.the

FACILITATORS

Dr. Alisa Hannum, PhD
Licensed Clinical Psychologist | Licensed Clinical Facilitator
Personal Statement
Hello and thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I’m Dr. Alisa Hannum, a licensed clinical psychologist with over 15 years of experience supporting individuals and groups in their healing journeys. My work is grounded in compassion, connection, and a deep respect for the resilience of the human psyche.
Professional Background and Interests
I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology from West Virginia University in 2010 and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2012. For more than a decade, I served in the Veterans Administration, where I specialized in treating PTSD related to combat and military sexual trauma. I currently provide psychotherapy, ketamine assisted therapy, and psychedelic assisted therapy in my private practice.
In addition to my formal training, I’ve pursued extensive advanced education in a wide range of therapeutic approaches, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and multiple psychedelic-assisted modalities. I am trained in MDMA-assisted therapy, ketamine-assisted therapy, and psilocybin-assisted therapy.

Approach to Psilocybin Sessions
My approach to mushroom-assisted therapy is rooted in reverence—for the natural medicines themselves, for the indigenous stewards who have carried these healing traditions for generations, and for the profound psychological and spiritual potential this work can unlock. I believe in holding this work within a ceremonial container that honors preparation, courage, and integration. It is a process that requires time, intention, and care.
I work primarily with individuals who are seeking deep, meaningful change—especially those carrying trauma. My goal is to provide a safe, respectful, and skillfully held space where true transformation can unfold.

Anne Moutray, M.A., CHT
Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator/Specializing in Somatic Psychotherapy
Personal Statement
For over 25 years, it has been my honor to work as a holistic therapist—counseling and supporting people through challenges, adversity, and trauma. I’ve walked my own path of deep healing through complex trauma. My greatest blessing is offering a safe space of loving presence and skill as people step out of the shadows and into the light of who they are and who they came here to be.
Professional Background and Interests
I started my mental health career in 1999 as a professional hypnotherapist, helping people process early childhood traumas as well as exploring and shifting out of unwanted habits and behaviors. I continued my education for the next 20 years in wellness counseling and mind/body consciousness, quantum healing hypnosis, Reiki, a master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology, and comprehensive training in somatic psychotherapy and somatic healing.
Overall, I have found somatic psychotherapy to be the most effective and efficient modality to allow people to safely discover, explore, and process trauma and understand themselves. I primarily use this modality while creating a safe space for people to be open and real about what is happening for them.
Approach to Psilocybin Sessions
Psilocybin has been a powerful tool and ally in my own healing journey for over 3 years. During psilocybin-assisted sessions, I was able to organically move into and process deep-seated subconscious and traumatic material that was keeping me stuck in anxious and avoidant patterns. The work was many things, including exhilarating, fascinating, profoundly spiritual, scary, confusing, and ultimately deeply healing.
I approach psilocybin and the people who choose to use it with respect and care. I am excited to be alive during this time when we can safely and responsibly utilize psilocybin to help people access and process emotional and psychological material that may not be accessible otherwise. By quieting fear responses and enhancing introspective awareness, psilocybin may help unlock deeply held emotions and allow for the integration of memories and traumatic experiences in a way that fosters lasting emotional resilience and personal growth.
*Note: I only work with women in my therapy practice

Brandon Sklar, MD
Psychiatrist and Psilocybin Director
Personal Statement
Licensed Psychiatrist // Licensed Clinical Facilitator
I am a mental health professional, and mental health patient, who is guided by my reverence for the ways psilocybin can transform the human spirit. I want to provide this medicine for others to experience with intention and safety, deeply recognizing both the potential and risks that come with this work.
Professional Background and Interests
I earned an MD degree from the University of Colorado in 2019 and subsequently completed my psychiatry residency also at CU in 2023. During those years, I worked in a variety of mental health settings including inpatient units, emergency rooms, addiction facilities, and outpatient clinics. Over time, I became less and less convinced that the drugs I was prescribing were adequately treating the suffering patients were enduring.
For the past year, my clinical practice has focused on ketamine, deprescribing, and psychotherapy. I received additional training at Elemental Psychedelics and my natural medicine license in 2025.
Approach to Psilocybin Sessions
My approach is rooted in non-Western traditions that view human suffering as something that must be confronted rather than avoided as well as psychoanalytic theory which understands that humans harbor wounding in their unconscious. I believe psilocybin can bring forth parts of the mind that have been traumatized to allow for them to be integrated into the rest of the Self.
I work primarily with individuals who have engaged in longitudinal therapy, and I approach psilocybin work with an expectation that this process may take many months to complete. As a musician, I also place enormous emphasis on how music shapes the psilocybin journey, and I work best with those who use music as a means of emotional expression.

Laurel Hicks, PhD, LCSW, PMH-C
Licensed Clinical Facilitator
Personal Statement
I believe in the potent and beautiful weaving of evidence-based science with the more mysterious realms of healing—ritual, sacred space, and the deep intelligence of psilocybin mushrooms. My passion for both the measurable and the mystical has shaped my path, leading me to build a career rooted in research and academia, while also cultivating a therapy practice that honors sacred healing. I bring together the rigor of science and the soul of ceremony to offer a truly holistic approach to healing—one that respects both the data and the divine.
Professional Background and Interests
I earned a dual-title PhD in Clinical Social Work and Infant Mental Health in 2017, followed by a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Denver, where I explored how stress, trauma, and depression are passed down through generations during the perinatal period. Currently, I serve as a Research Scientist at the Renée Crown Wellness Institute at the University of Colorado Boulder, where my work centers on mind-body and community-based approaches to support people through the transformative journey of the perinatal period. I’m EMDR-certified and have specialized training in Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, DBT, Behavioral Activation, Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy, and Psilocybin Mushroom Facilitation. Alongside my clinical and academic work, I bring in tools from more intuitive traditions—I’ve taught yoga and meditation since 2005, am a Reiki Master, and an amateur herbalist, all of which deepen my commitment to integrative healing.
Approach to Psilocybin Sessions
I love to create spaces that bring in the sacred through ritual and ceremony. This may be something as simple as lighting a candle, or more elaborate, weaving in your own ancestral or personal practices to help mark the threshold of the journey. My roots as a Birth Doula shape how I approach psilocybin work—I see these journeys as a kind of birth, where I serve as a grounded, loving presence while something ancient and new moves through you. I trust deeply in the innate intelligence of the mushrooms and in your inner wisdom to meet them. From an animist lens, I relate to the mushrooms as sentient beings, allies from the natural world who carry teachings from the mycelial web and the unseen realms. I am here not to direct the process, but to hold the container with care, reverence, and an open heart, inviting whatever wants to unfold to do so in a space of safety and sacredness.

Jim Pavlik, MA, NCNTT
Licensed Natural Medicine Facilitator
Personal Statement
Licensed Clinical Facilitator
I feel deeply honored to support others on their journey with psilocybin. This work brings together two threads that have shaped my life: a respect for scientific inquiry and a reverence for the mysteries of human experience. While I draw on research and evidence to guide my practice, I also welcome the spiritual and transformative dimensions that often emerge in these sessions. My own path is informed by Buddhist philosophy, especially its emphasis on awareness, compassion, and letting go. I strive to offer a space that is both grounded and expansive, where insight and healing can unfold naturally.
Professional Background and Interests
My academic background spans the humanities and social sciences, with undergraduate degrees in English, Philosophy, Spanish, and International Studies, and a master’s in International Relations. I’ve worked in public health for nearly two decades, with a focus on behavioral health and health behavior change since 2012. I’m a certified Tobacco Treatment Specialist (NCNTT) and a certified psychedelic
coach through the Psychedelic Coaching Institute. I integrate evidence-based approaches such as Motivational Interviewing, cognitive-behavioral strategies, and mindfulness. My work is grounded in curiosity, compassion, and a commitment to helping others live with greater freedom and clarity.
Approach to Psilocybin Sessions
I do not position myself as a healer but as a grounded, compassionate presence holding a physically safe and emotionally steady container for your journey. Healing is ultimately your own work—the medicine serves as a powerful catalyst, enabling access to deeper parts of yourself and transformation. My role is to support you with gentle reassurance, affirming you are navigating the process as it unfolds, that discomfort is often temporary, and that all experiences—whether symbolic, revelatory, or seemingly nonsensical—deserve attention. I also enjoy helping you translate insights and revelations into meaningful, lasting changes in daily life. I am here to answer questions, encourage re-engagement when needed, and help you stay attuned to your evolving insight with care and respect.
